Pathfinder 1E Knife fighter suggestions

If I'm expecting to be fighting mostly humanoids, is it viable to make a knife fighter at 11th level? What's a smarter way to do it, Fighter or Rogue? I'm basically thinking of making Machete (by Danny Trejo).

I had a similar character in a Conan d20 game a few years ago, which had rules for sticking knives in people and leaving them in there to continue causing pain. Mostly I'm just interested in brutal, bloody combat options.

Have you looked at grappling? The grappling feat tree has nifty stuff in it like letting you make multiple attacks while grappling.

That means you can keep your opponent from doing much while you're just carving him up.

The Rogue gets Sneak Attack, which the fighter does not, but the fighter gets more attacks per round, better chances to hit, can take the damage that a rogue cannot, and has far more feats to acquire the necessary feat trees like grappling and 2 weapon fighting. There's also 2-weapon warrior fighter archetype. I think fighter is a better choice between the two.

There's always Ranger with 2-weapon combat style, but still lacks the extra feat slots to compare to a 2-weapon fighter. Also more comparable to the ranger, Rite Publishing Way of the Samurai offers a Nitojutsu Sensei, samurai archetype specializing in fighting with katana and wakizashi (though that means not fighting with 2 daggers/kukri - which is closer to your preference.)

I like the knife fighter Archtype...gives rogues d8 sneak attack damage when weilding daggers...I know it's only a little more, but I think it has cool flavor...

Thanks for the help so far. Any ideas on how to have a decent attack bonus if I plan to be depositing weapons in my enemies? Is there an 'amulet of mighty fists' style weapon appropriate for guys who use lots of small weapons, instead of fighting unarmed?

Is this a Pathfinder only game, or can you use stuff from other d20 games?

If its the latter, check out the Gauntlet of a Infinite Blades from the Magic Item Compendium.

Or if you multiclass into Soulknife- the Pathfinder version- and use the mindblade shaping feats from Dragon, you'll have a buttload ofmindblades to fling around the battlefield.

I'd consider a Fighter (Brawler) 4 / Rogue (Knife Master) 7 and fighting with a pair of punch daggers. This build works much better if you plan to move with someone else who's also in combat - you pretty much need a flank partner unless you want to go into the Feint tree far enough to get Greater Feint and Two-Weapon Feint. You could also try and make use of some of the teamwork feats, if you've got a partner you'll be fighting with who's willing to take them.

Fighter 4 gives you 3 bonus feats, so pick up the standard stuff you'd want there (say, TWF, Weapon Focus, and Weapon Specialization). Brawler gives you +1 to CMB and CMD with bull rush, drag, and reposition combat maneuvers, which isn't that hot, but it also gives you a +1 bonus to attacks and a +3 bonus to damage with all close weapons, including punching daggers.

Knife Master 7 gives you d8s on your sneak attack damage with daggers, including punch daggers. It also gives you +4d6 sneak attack damage per attack, as well as 3 rogue talents to play around with.

You'll need your Dex as high as possible, and then probably an Int of 13+ for Combat Expertise. Bluff might be useful too if you have to feint, so don't skimp out on Charisma.
