I can't disagree with that. The game itself, in any form, is clearly not the priority anymore.

Better for the game. Stability is what is needed, not the mess that trying to monetize mechanics brought.

Yes, theybare a game company. Alienating and dividing players isn't desirable for their business, but neither would that be beneficial for the game community, which is whybl WotC is shying away from the word Edition due to the previous abuse of the term.

It certainly implies that WotC wants to. And I think that's quite true.

I think WoTC will try and encourage people to move digital. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some deals etc to get people to join D&D beyond but I am equally certain they are not going to abandon print.
