How did we get so wildly different numbers? Especially Oakfirst? I never understood xp math, I know lower levels vs high level opponents get more, but not how to get there.
I'm not questioning the numbers,i'd like to understand the math.
Note that those are the new XP totals, not the XP awards. Tim's level is lower since T.H. bought of Tim's Level Adjustment. @MetaVoid used some of his allocated starting XP to take bloodline levels, so he's only ECL 6.

The XP awards are in the previous post to the one you quoted.

Battle of the Crossed Candles [XP Awarded]
Akos: 6,253 XP
Big Tim: 6,253 XP
Falen: 6,253 XP
Rockhorn: 6,253 XP
Tuck: 6,253 XP
Vincenzo: 6,253 XP * 110% (item familiar) = 6,878 XP
---
Commander Oakfirst: 4,363 XP (no XP for the raging dwarf or Dusk assassins)
Custodio: 6,253 XP
Sobla: 2,932 (half of Tuck's total)

All the other NPCs get XP as if they are a cohort of Commander Oakfirst.
All of the PCs got the same amount of XP while Oakfirst and Sobla got less. Vincenzo gets a 10% bump for his item familiar, however.

What cleric? Custodio is only 3rd level Cleric?
What other Cleric do we have?

When I get to 11th level, I will be taking Divine Crusader with Healing domain. But until then, I am all Fighter.
Akos has three levels of cleric, which means he's considered a 5th-level cleric for the purposes of spellcasting with his eldritch disciple levels. (Not including his new XP total, which makes him 9th-level.

Custodio is a 5th-level cleric/3rd-level fighter now with his updated XP totals.

Update to Custodio's Memorized Spells
0th — detect magic, detect poison, guidance, light, resistance
1st — conviction, ironguts, protection from evil, remove fear, shield of faith
2nd — aid, deific vengeance, delay poison, lesser restoration
3rd — knight's move, magic circle against evil, weapon of impact

I chose spells. I was hoping there were more 'traveling' spells, but I chose mostly spells that would help Vitus' Master in a pinch. I can pick more useful 'adventuring' spells later. (they are filled out in the mini-sheet on my last post)

I took a couple of those vitality spells and can, of course spontaneously cast healing spells.

This character will not be great at combat. Hopefully he'll be good at support.

I have a wand of CLW. I haven’t chosen my spells yet. They will be mostly utility spells that Vitus would use to help his Lord( detect poison, purify food and drink, lesser restoration, resistance from elements, stuff like that. I just haven’t gone through the plethora of spells yet.

I took craft wand but I might change that to brew potion. I don’t have any xp to brew any potions at the moment, though.
My advice would be you put a more combative spell options. Not full adventure, we're in a city, but something that you can use in a fight. We have time for rest now, I had "rest" spell setup and had very little offensive or buffing power for quite some time because things happened quickly. This is what Akos would tell you too in game.

@Knightfall
Akos would look over alchemist items while he's there.
Wish list:
  • vials of elemental damage
  • healing items
  • restoration items
  • anti-toxin
  • something to preserve the heart (or at least parts of it)

Basic experiments:

Yeah, I’m just saying my spell load out was based on a person who ‘wasn’t allowed to cast spells’. That’ll change, obviously. He currently has gentle repose studied. :P I’ll change things out once I know what’s going on or someone invites him to help. I also took mass vigor if people need healing
