How badly hurt is gattas? It will determine what spell I use next

He appears to be very hurt with several major wounds, but Vinny can't really tell just by looking at the man. Vinny can make a Sense Motive check to assess Gattas strength as a challenge, and he gets a +2 circumstance bonus to the check since he's seen Gattas in combat. The check is made as a Standard action, however, so Vinny can't assess Gattas and cast a spell in the same round, unless the spell is a swift action. The check is opposed by Gattas' Bluff check. Gattas seems quite fearful of the Deaf-Mute Knight.

Nope, the bugbear cleric healed him with a cure spell before the living altar's damage was inflicted.
