No, while Tim wouldn't be threatened, the characters are rushing with some urgency. It's not a casual climb up to the top. And, only the part where you're climbing has to be at 1/2 speed. It doesn't affect the rest of the movement other than you can't climb while using the withdraw action.

Since Tim would only have 15 feet worth of movement left when he reaches the ladder, he can climb at 1/2 speed and need only roll 10 or higher. This would put him 7-1/2 feet up, probably rounded down to 5 feet. So his feet would be just above Akos and Maggs' heads.

If you want him to reach the full 15 feet up the ladder it is a roll and the DC is 25. Since Tim is a Large character and the walls are only 10 feet apart, I'll say Tim can brace himself on the walls as he climbs. This gives him a +5 to his roll.

With a +5 to my roll, my total Climb check would be 1d20+24. I cannot fail a DC25. So that's what Tim will do.

No delay, act now on his normal turn.

He will double-move, and climb the full 15 feet up the ladder.

If my roll is high enough, can I get higher than 15 ft.? Or is that my maximim movement? If it's my max movement, then there's no need to roll.

No, if Tim does not delay, he cannot reach the ladder and climb. The ice storm spell slows him down too much. He has to delay in order to reach the ladder. Without a deplay, it costs his his full 60 feet of movement to just reach the ladder, and he cannot end his movement there. Both Akos and Maggs are standing there.

He either has to stop inside the labyrinth (without a delay action) or climb the ladder (with a delay action).

- Vinny had to move 10 ft. to the ladder before he started climbing at 1/2 his Speed, so he's only 25 feet up the ladder. He must climb another 5 feet in the next round.

I had to roll for Tuck as well. He has no ranks in Climb and a Strength penalty of -1. He still managed to make the check, but he's only able to climb a total of 15 feet in the previous round. He will, hopefully, finish his climb this round.

I think I might need to change his action. He has two spells that would greatly help him or one of the other PCs: accelerated movement and climb walls. I don't think he'd attempt to make the climb without casting at least one those spells.

Anyway, I have to go for now. I'll decide later.
