Putting this sort of nonsense in the SRD is what drives me up the wall about D&D -- why should WOTC seek to place limits on what kinds of cultures can exist in its worlds!?Telas said:Ditto. However, from the SRD: The purchase and possession of poison is always illegal, and even in big cities it can be obtained only from specialized, less than reputable sources.
Also, clearly the SRD "code" is not a code; it is a set of parameters for acceptable code design. In my view, it should serve as the basis for a code designed collaboratively by GM and player. A paladin can't very well adhere to a code unique to him, unless he's the only known paladin; after all, how lawful would that be?
