[sblock=OOC, WD]Ok, thanks for the info. We'll apply your roll to the athletics check, giving you a 20, so Tarrk doesn't fall.[/sblock]

Tarrk's familiarity with the rough terrain of his homelands helps him to nimbly pirouette on the edge of the chasm that opens beneath his feet and take a step back before he falls.

Keep on the Shadowfell Dungeon

Basher7 disappears into a pit in the center of the room, but scrambles out of the pit moments later, helped by Ghraere, who pulls him back from the ledge. Ghraere has moved to aid his friend after sinking two arrows deep into the fleeing goblin, which staggers but still flees, Ghraere brushes the rats off of the Warforged's most vulnerable-looking parts. [MAP EDIT NOTE: No one has given me a position for a character since Ozy fired his bow, not that you really could I guess. Anyway, I've just used my best judgment.] Basher7 now looks ready to set off after the aforementioned giggling goblin, who has now moved down the passage to the south, and seems to be tending to his left (east). While this room is lighted adequately, the hallways between rooms are not, and this gives the whole place a shadowy look and an overall feeling of gloom and foreboding. (Of course, the silhouetted giggling goblin who does not seem to have your best interests at heart also contributes somewhat to that feeling.) You can, however, see light coming from another source some twenty feet ahead in the next room.

OOC: Did I forget anything this time?

OOC: Oh yeah, and I've made adjustments to the map as well. If you're wondering why I put Aimhirghin and Elerosse where I did, it's because I know (think?) they both have ranged attacks so I wanted to preserve their line of sight to the goblin. Likewise with Tarrk. So the only party member who does not have direct line-of-sight to the goblin at this point is Khellek.

[sblock=OOC, Lou]Sorry man, that was a really cool idea you had back there to use your Twist the Arcane Fabric feat to teleport Basher7 to safety. Too bad it didn't work out quite that way.[/sblock]

OOC: Last post has been heavily modified, and I think I got all of the stuff I forgot to include last time. Sorry, guys. The map is all new, too.

Tarrk

After circling the pit, Tarrk charges the goblin, knocking him prone with his horns!

Keep on the Shadowfell Dungeon

Tarrk begins a low, rumbling growl that makes everyone's hair stand on end, even the Warforged! :p He starts rushing the goblin with murder in his eyes and a gleam on his horns. But Aimhirghin decides he's going to take a big dump on Tarrk's dessert, and shoots the goblin right square in the left nipple, his arrow burying itself in goblin flesh up to the fletching. Then Tarrk does his "trample dance" with the lifeless goblin, but he quickly tires of this and give Aimhirghin a look of?????

OOC: Ozy just about stole the whole show with his first two arrow shots. The poor goblin only had about 6 hp left. I may have let you guys level-up too early. You're supposed to be well into the dungeon before you reach Level2. Hmmm, gotta break out my 4E Monster books and get to souping this joint up!

ooc: Very nice description! Can I keep the power, as Tarrk hadn't the opportunity to use it? No biggie, it is an encounter one, not a daily.
Thanks! Yes you can keep it, but there's nothing to "keep," because you never used your power. You just TRIED to use it, hehe. But, as you say, an encounter power would reset as soon as the goblin died, anyway, unless there are more foes about to descend upon you?
