wow, i sleep for 6 hours and miss 31 posts! I think this is gonna be a good campaign.

I ALWAYS want higher *L*, I'm used to 32 being an 'average' character, but then I tend to play higher powered campaigns when at all possible.

I'll see what I can do with 28, don't feel obligated to bump it up more just b/c of me.

As far as setting goes, I'm good with anything. My background will likely be non-specific as it is for most of my characters, able to fit into any world.

BTW, sources I'm thinking on using in case you want to veto any:
Completes (Arcane, warrior, adventurer, scoundrel, mage), PHB2, Races of the Dragon
I'm totally cool with all of your sources except Races of the Dragon. Is that a deal-breaker for you?

I tend to stay simple... I usually don't multiclass most times because most of the GOOD PrC's are too complicated for me to figure out.... plus.. I like knowing what I can do and do it easily.. even with mages I tend to stick mostly core.... I like taking spells from other sources but that's about it.... I'm sure I'm missing out on good saves, attacks, spells, combo's... but unless they are pointed out to me I'm oblivious to them heh....

My second option I was thinking about using here is a character made from Ghostwalk splatbook... was gonna make a ghost touch attack warrior heh... would have been pretty cool about this level.... to do so though there's alot of changes, new feats and how they work and alot of rules changes that are a real pain in the ass for the DM....
Well, shoot, man, this game was for you in the first place, so I feel bad not letting you play what you want. (If Rathan plays the ghost touch attack warrior, then Jemal and everybody else can play whatever floats their boats.) I don't feel like learning a tremendous amount of new stuff, and I really don't have the time for it, either, so if there is much of that, I'll be depending on the players to be self-policing to make sure that it's all done correctly. Narc your buddy, get bonus xp! :D

Leif.. LOL... easy... the ghost was my SECOND choice.. the wizard with mr. golem was my first :P.... I'll stick with him thanks... besides it's a baaddd idea to allow sources you have no access to... bad bad bad... stick with what you know man :)... we players need limits somewhers :P

Thanks, Rathan. It's good that somebody's got my back here. If you haven't noticed yet, sometimes I have a tendency to bite off a bit more than I can chew. Just a bit....

And, would you believe that I had already forgotten, momentarily, about the wizard/golem combo??

*hands Leif a Zanax and a diet pepsi...* breath... breath my friend and TRY to have fun with this.... I am not looking for anything as seriously involved as Jemals Epic Campaign.. I want this to be fun....we can do good fun yes? :D

*GULP* *SLURP* *SWALLOW* Ahhhh! Man I HATE diet pepsi, yuk. Under the circumstances, however, it filled the bill. ;)

INNNNNNNNNN-HAAALLLLLLE

EXXXXXXXXXX-HALLLLLE

Ok, how's that? *whew* It's been a crazy 24 hours, man. Yeah, we'll have fun. All of this is helping to cement my module selection, too!

But let me ask a question to everone: Are you all looking for a combat intensive game, or more of a kind of a mystery, with lots of weirdness and exploration?

I like a little mix here and there because more often then not... the dice start to hate me with a passion after a time.. LOL.... I think with the level we'll have a bit more combat than most modules would of lower level but that's really how intense the module is.... is this a module of your own making or a published one Leif?

One thing, Rathan, Lazarius's con is listed as 12 with a +2 bonus. My ph says that a 12 only gets a +1 bonus.

It's a published adventure, Necromancer Games's "Hall of the Rainbow Mage," just in case some are familiar with it. It has some intensive combat, to be sure, but it's far from a "hack-and-slash" affair.

let me go check on that... might have come from me fiddling with my stats with the point buy..... thanks for the heads up..

EDIT: Made a few changes here and there for my magic items and bought spells so I could finagle an add-on to my amulet of Nat armor giving it health +2 as well to keep my con at a +2 for the HP's heh
