Leif's 'The Hall of the Rainbow Mage' [A] (D&D 3.5 OOC)

I'm sitting at 25 AC now, considering losing 2 AC to get some cash towards that Chaucible. More EB damage sounds good.

Keep in mind, the real idea behind AC a higher levels is to protect you from iterative attacks...you are going to get hit, AC just helps so you don't get hit as much.

There are always 10 rounds in a minute. A round is approximately 6 seconds in 3E.

Wow. Those Essences last quite awhile then. 10 rounds shaken/sickened/for a minute? 10 minutes of -4 dex from Hellrime? Geez.

Edit:
Alright... well, do you think 2 AC is better than playing around for an extra 2d6 damage?

Yep, any effect that lasts more than a round or two in combat is major.

I'd take 2d6 damage of 2 AC just about anyday...but that is really your call. My reasoning is: the faster you take down your foe, the less chances of hitting you they have. A good offense is the best defense. And all that jazz... ;)

What benefits is the Monk class to this PC Jemal?

the Monk levels allows me to take the Aesetic Mage feat, adding my cha to ac (Instead of wisdom as normal for the monk), and giving me the option to sacrifice a spell slot as a swift action to gain a bonus to all attack/damage rolls for that round equal to the level of the spell sacrificed. It also gives me Improved Grapple, Combat Reflexes, Evasion, and the ability to punch someone in the face really hard if I feel like it. ;)

Plus I like monks.

I agree, it just seemed like you were advocating more AC.

Edit: Does a Chaucible take the same slot as an amulet?

In this particular party, I have to say go with the damage. On the off chance that they start tearing at you, I can benign transposition to swap you somewhere safe.
