Leif's 'The Hall of the Rainbow Mage' [A] (D&D 3.5 OOC)

Leif did imply giant, which you can never go wrong with as a 12th level PC. Other goods ones are undead and monsterous humanoid. I'd try to stay away from the ones that have a subtype...unless you go with humanoid (human).

Leif, would you allow me to change the "Amulet of Health" into a "Belt of Health"? Same effect and cost, just different location.

According to the rules in the MIC, the Constitution improving items should be able to be used in the Throat, Torso, or Waist magic item locations.

[see page 234]

This page also lists rules for adding effects to magic items. [the example is given of adding +2 dex bonus to the Boots of Springing & Striding, which costs 4,000 gp [the same as if you bought the gloves of dex from the DMG]

I wasn't sure if Leif was allowing those rules. If he is, I merely need to determine whether I should go with a Lesser or Greater Chausible, and which items I'll be skimming off to pay for it.

OH by the way, leify-wan, I just want to make sure you're ok with the Runestaves from MIC. Specifically I'd like to use a Runestaff of Power - For both the spellcasting and as my main melee weapon.

EDit - Dangit, I just realized there's a 28,000 limit on item costs..Hmm, perhaps craft staff...
nope, requires CL 12. :(

well, I'll be back with something else.

EDIT:
Also, since you're allowing LA Buyoff, I'm going to try it out. Reducing my +1 LA at ECL 4 (Character lvl 3) costs 3,000 XP, which leaves me with at the current moment...67,000.. still enough to be level 12, while maintaining all the bonuses of my draconic template.
Not sure if it still matters now, but, assuming you can afford one within the limits previously given, yes, a runestaff would be acceptable.

This is it!!!

[SIDE MESSAGE FOR renau1g, if you're not him, please read, but no other action is required -- Looks fine to me, renau1g. But I have an ending for you (or a beginning to the adventure, if you prefer):
The priestess who converted you, Sister Penora, your most trusted mentor in the service of The Red Knight, comes to you with an urgent message:
"My dear friend, Learah Relight, has come to me with a problem -- it seems that her uncle Londar Brightrain, known to many as the Rainbow Mage, is missing. His mansion is near the town of Hampton Hill, scarcely a week's journey from here. I am giving you this charge: Go to Hampton Hill and discover the whereabouts or the final fate of Londar Brightrain. When you have solved the mystery, relate your findings to Learah Relight. She will be found in Hampton Hill at either the Red House Inn or the White Boar Inn. I have taken the liberty of assembling a group of companions to accompany you on this journey. They are: Whin Zacharius Roe, Nilah Jiv'undus, Kumar the Artificer, Vaidun Kale, and Lazarius Ventilius. They are all mighty men of great valor, and I wish you much success!"]

[sblock=Deus Ex Machina]Now if we can just get everybody to give us just a smidgen of willing suspension of disbelief, I think that should tie us all together nicely, and set the stage for the big to-do! I plan to have the IC thread open for business by next weekend.[/sblock]

Leif, are you allowing the stuff Renau mentioned about the MIC?

Sure, as long as you abide by this:

"EDit - Dangit, I just realized there's a 28,000 limit on item costs..Hmm, perhaps craft staff...
nope, requires CL 12."
