I'm just refusing to conform to society's rules! 34, never been married and no kids...that may not be so bad out of state, but in Utah? I'm definitely a rarity here.
I think that's pretty much a rarity everywhere! Still, I wish I had done that as opposed to being divorced.

So, I'm slightly confused about the character connections.

Whose backstories am I linking to again? Jemal and Renau? Or just one of them?

Also; Did anyone get a chance to check my little list of the final options I'm looking at and form an opinion?

LOL! You know me too well.
You???? I was talking about ME!!

I think it would be great if the backstories of as many of the characters as possible could be intertwined. But, ultimately, it's up to player preference. And, Theroc, I'm not really qualified to voice an opinion on the character options you mentioned, and I wouldn't want to interfere with your character creation, anyway. But there are several others in this game who are highly qualified to give opinions such as this. At least one of whom is online even as we type! (hint, hint!)

Yes, I would think all of our PCs should know one another. I think Theroc's PC's backstory was going to tie in with Jemal's, and to a lesser extent with Renau1gs.

Given my PC's background, I would assume he knows most of the other PCs; it would make sense that whatever has brought us on "this adventure" that one of the other PC's had contacted Vaidun and asked him to come along.

I don't mind connecting characters, I just need to know a little about them so I can mold my somewhat amorphous history concept to fit. Basics are:
Mistreated Drow Male who rebelled against Lolthian society, killed his Matron Mother(or whatever) and fled the Underdark. After that I can sorta play around, though I've envisioned him as a more assassin-type character than an upfront fighter or a backline caster.

lol, as the DM, you're more than qualified, seeing as you know what's coming. But that's also why you should refrain. In anycase, I wasn't fishing for your advice, Leif, as I figured you'd not want to influence my decisions, having foreknowledge that might color your opinions.

Thanks for the response though.
