In Kate's flashforward, no one seems to be aware Aaron isn't Kate's baby. Yet Aaron is one of the O6, and various characters have refered to the O6 by that specific title. That makes no sense to me

You are missing the fact that off the Island, Kate has been operating under false identities for a number of years now. Pretty easy to say she was pregnant before the flight went down. What confuses me is the fact that Aaron looks way too old when Kate is on trial like 4-6 years imho......more time business.

As an aside I think it interesting that everyone is assuming Ben set up his Daughter et al, when there is a very real alternate possibility....the snipers are the military types from the boat.

We know from a couple of episodes ago, when Desmond had his "problem" the pilot was away "doing something".....this episode we have it confirmed that the people on the boat have orders to kill everyone on the island after Ben is captured, and we see in the Michael flashbacks that Naomi was not the only person with military training on board. Moreover we have actually never seen the Others snipe anyone.....strikes me as likely the boat dropped off its military squad to start taking people out.

And why didn't Michael's mother make a connection between him and Flight 815.
We don't know that she didn't. AFAIK they didn't find the pseudo-815 until Michael was working with the Others.

BTW, I'm wondering if the point of Nikki and Paulo last season was to get the diamonds to the island, and thus Ben's money to pay off Miles.

Hmmm... That'll work. :)

Maybe, although they'd be kind of hard to get to at this point. They're kind of scattered beneath mounds of dirt, and any excavation (it seems to me) would draw the attention of the survivors still on the beach.

It would be a neat idea, though.

Well, I guess it is pretty much confirmed that there is something supernatural or mystical about the island from what Mr. Friendly said to Michael about "The island won't let you kill yourself."
Heck, they confirmed it near the end of last season. I pointed it out long ago that the show confirmed there some something supernatural/mystical/science fiction-y going on.

It's also why I'm saying that Ben gets his super-duper knowledge and stupendous instant communication abilities due to super mind powers (hey - it's no more nonsensical than all the other stuff they've been feeding us).

Not sure about this last episode... but if Rousseau is dead, then that's a big load of SUCK, AFAIC.

Jacob being future Locke is kind of a neat concept...

I couple of other thoughts I've had... I wouldn't be surprised if people already thought of them elsewhere...

I liked how Tom was a little horrified that Michael confided in Walt. I wonder if the children are being deliberately protected.

Also, I find it amusing Sayid hates Michael because he works for Ben. Consider that in the future, Sayid is working for Ben as well.

About the Rousseau death thing, kinda supports an idea I had, though. Seems that when someone fullfills their purpose on the island or their main goal (their dharma, coincidentally or not), they die. Usually. Unless they get arrested for DUI. Rousseau's big goal was to get Alex back. She did, she fulfilled her dharma, and she died.
