Pathfinder 1E [LPF] Rodents of Unusual Size

[sblock=AoO]A)When the swarm moves into her square, it provokes an AoO from her. Bestiary p.313.
B) She can take an AoO with the cane because it is a melee weapon, but not with a cantrip spell. A ranged weapon is also not useful to take an AoO with. An AoO requires a melee weapon.
C) If she takes damage while casting a spell, there is a concentration check of 10 + damage taken. That is the 14 Scott has listed above. Fail the concentration check and the spell fizzles.
D) Jolt is a single target spell. (Well, doesn't explicitly say that, but is intended. I will fix the wiki later.) Those are useless against a swarm. Yeah, Disintegrate actually fails against a swarm. So, the spell does no damage to the swarm.
E) Swarms don't take AoOs on creatures moving in or out of them.
F) Swarms take extra damage from area effect spells or damage.

Best course: Run away, then throw an alchemist's fire from a distance. You bought one of those, right? :p

[sblock=Attack]I am assuming that I would use my Intelligence modifier, since that is what the witch would use for learning new spells, DC for saves and just about anything else for the witch's spells.

But, for the cane attack:
Hanbo attack: 1D20-1 = [9]-1 = 8

And the now the concentration...

Concentration : 1D20+4 = [14]+4 = 18

If you decide to use it or not because of the single target/swarm confusion, I suppose you will just use the last damage rolls...Its all a bit confusing...I hate rats.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]I am traveling this weekend to attend my brother's graduation. I won't be posting much (if at all) until Tuesday. If the action is rolling and my absence is slowing things down or something can't wait till I return, please NPC me. [/sblock]

In the years to follow, the various denizens, street urchins and dock workers that were around the warehouse will talk of what they heard that day. Some say there must be a great beast in the sewers or a bizarre banshee that made its home in a cellar; others claim the entire block was shifting on an underground cavern. If anyone could see what was happening in that cellar, their stories would be no less fantastic.

They would have seen the Dame Morrogrim standing unnaturally erect with her hands clutched tightly at her chest. She was so high on her tip-toes that it gave the impression she was levitating. Her dark hair appeared even darker as all the blood drained from her face. Her eyes were as wide as doubloons and nostrils were flaring wildly. Her mouth opened and closed as she tried to speak.

"Baa!..Geeaa!...Faaaeee!" she sputtered and spit incomprehensibly until the first of the rats scampered to her shoes. Her pupils shrunk and eyes widened, instantly her mouth dropped open and...."gwaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"

Miraculously, she was able to free one finger from white knuckled grip on her cane that was held tight to her chest and make the appropriate gesture that sent a two blue bolts of lightning into the swarm.

[sblock=Attacks]Fortitude: 1D20+1 = [13]+1 = 14

I think I did this right and if the rats don't have resistance to Jolt:

AOO Attack: 1D3 = [2] = 2
Attack: 1D3 = [2] = 2

Sorry if I stole some of the story, my RP streak gets away from me sometimes. :o

GM: i forgot to roll damage too Dame M. Normally, you will need a concentration check at dc 14 . concentration check = d20+ability mod (cha for witches?) + any trait or feat bonus. But this is a swarm of tiny critters. uh @Satin Knights , A question for you. Swarms do not provoke AOO normally, but what if they are ON the caster? @Grayn , I do se it was a cantrip, so you wont 'lose the spell' per se, as you cast those unlimited, but the spell might fizzle harmlessly.

1d6=4

As for using jolt on the swarm, see item D [in yellow] of d' Judge's comments. You need to rethink the attack

as for the item in red, did I not hint strongly enough to go and use the 100 gp retainer? did I fail? *sob, sniff, whimper*

The hanbo in the hands of the moritified Dame Morrowgrim fails to get a good hit on any of the rats bodies, despite her keeping her head about her, sorta, as the rats invade her personal space however she gathers her wits about her and gives it another good smack!

DM caveat: 1d20-1=16, 1d6-1=5

GM: if you are still around, need a move if you want to move.Otherwise I will move you to safety.

After the third successful attack, you realize that the rats seem to be dispersing and being thinned from the crushing attacks.

rats: 3 hp left, AC 14

Ooc: I was under the impression that I was stuck with my attack choices (for the most part) and we were going to carry on after me (ie. run away). Thanks for sorting it out. Just picture her flailing her cane about with only her wrist moving and getting really lucky!

Moving her back to safety is exactly what she wants to do.

My phone doesn't want to let me use comment blocks. :/
