[LPJdesign] Haven: COV to Go D20 Modern!!!

I'll be curious to see what Haven does. Will it attempt to become the next Freeport but for D20 Modern or will it be heavily hindered by massive amounts of crippled OGC?

Something no one else has mentioned is that the PrCs currently coming out of said company seem to be getting some pretty sour reviews as they either are based on comics and are 'corny' or are just bad mechanics wise. D20 and D20 Modern aren't the same. Hopefully if he does go through The Game Mechanics, a lot of this material will be open and D20 Modern can have it's 'universal' city.

I was teasing you with the memory of our posts about the d20 Modern psionic system in my head, where it seemed d20 Modern fits you like a glove and I had ... other opinions.

We argued about psionics? I thought it was the FX magic system. Hmm.

But just so you know, I recently found The Psychic's Handbook with its Modern Psychic advanced class (with missing stats found on Green Ronin's messageboards) and the skill-n-feat psychic system much more suitable for my games.

I'd be happy to give d20 Modern a try, when I can find a discount price that suits me. Or hey, if one of you d20 Modern fans want to convert me, make me an offer. LOL!

I agree to a point. Sniping for personal vendetta is one thing. Pointing out to the community the dubious behavior of a publisher is quite another.

Your agreement or disagreement isn't relevant, I'm afraid; whether something is appropriate or not isn't a matter of opinion. You shouldn't have pointed it out to "the community", you should have pointed it out to a moderator - that, obviously, is the way to quickly get something done. Now my time is being wasted moderating you.

And we're not going to hijack this thread any more with your opinion of board policy; if you want to discuss board policy, do it by email, please.

Me, I 'm looking forward to seeing Haven as a d20 modern game. It was one of the few games I saw at Gen Con that made think longer than five mins. in running a Modern game. I have been knowing LPJ for years off and on and he can be umm diffrent but his heart is alway in the right place. Making games for us to play that are fun. My two coppers on this.
