Location: Approximately 100 miles WSW of Paol in Southern Erenland.

Terrain: Brush plains with sporadic bushes and the occasional tree. If one wishes to hide, there are places to do so. In the distance to the south you can see the Kasmael Sea. It must be about 10 miles away. The site is strangely devoid of animal life. In fact, you have not even seen a bird in the last hour of your travel.

It is a cool afternoon when each of you catch site of your goal. A strange outcropping of rocks that resembles a bird in flight. It has been many days and nights travel to get to this place that you only know of from your dreams. Some have traveled quite far indeed. You had begun to wonder if this strange formation really existed. You have been traveling trusting only your instincts for direction. The strange formation must be about a mile and a half away.

Always knowing that you were different from the others, you had hoped that someday you were meant for a great destiny. But when the dreams began you didn't realize you would be traveling to the far south. Indeed the first time you had the dream, you simply dismissed it as a bit of bad food or poor digestion. But when the same dream repeated over and over each time you were able to sleep... Then you knew that the time you had been waiting for had arrived.

The Dream: You travel to a strange outcropping of rocks that resembles a bird in flight. Once there, there are six others. However the dream always fades when you try to see what the others look like.

OOC: Assume that you are about a mile and half from the rock outcropping. No one sees anyone else at the moment. Please describe how you approach the area. Have fun.

Tozin stops for a moment, takes a slow look at the panorama before him and takes a moment to appreciate nearing the end of his journey. He straightens and stretches slightly, then takes his staff in his right hand. With a smile on his lips, Tozin runs easily towards his destiny...

The dreams had puzzled Regan for he was not the birghtest soul. All he knew is that he had to travel south. Now that he had arrived, he stood in awe that the vision had actually led him somewhere. This was not like the dreams he had as a child, this one had come true and led him to some place that was real. Looking around and not seeing anybody else, he began to wonder if perhaps that part of the vision was indeed false. Still, not wanting to be too trusting, he decided to make his way to the outcropping covering the last 100 yards with his sword and axe readied.

Upon sighting the strange formation, Tak's eyes are wide in disbelief. Over the last few months, he had been sure that he could do some good in his blackened world, however minor.

But this. This is beginning to make him believe in something more grand. Destiny doesn't go out of its way to call men to lesser goods.

In the back of his mind, Tak can here the nagging voice of his mother, warning him of the imminent victory of the Shadow. Could destiny's call be leading him to doom instead?

This thought gives Tak pause. If some dark fate awaits him there, maybe it would be foolish to give up the chance to pursue all those lesser goods.

But when he remembers how his sister had been transformed by her years away, he quickly shakes off any doubts. "I wouldn't even be a little hero," he thinks, "if I passed up the chance that these dreams are pulling me towards something greater."

With that, Tak begins an easy jog towards the rock, a jog that unconciously becomes a full sprint as the excitable youth imagines what awaits him ahead.

I wish I had never left the jungle. Tashki hated being so exposed. The sparse woods and bushes of these southern plains left her feeling.... naked.

At home in the jungle, vegetation and life was everywhere. But for the last few weeks it was nothing but grass and copse of small trees. She longed for the dusk like colours of her homes. The contained feeling of dense, living vegetation.

Her misstep on a fallen branch scarred a brace of rabbits, that ran for better cover. But at least I am not completely alone. She said with a smile.

Not having the reassuring voices of the Whispering Woods was disconcerting, but her re-occurring dream the Bird like Bluff now guided her. She felt so close to it, that she even began traveling during the day, daring to be noticed all in an effort to arrive sonner.

And sure enough, as she crested a small hill she saw it. Even bigger than she had dreamt. Casting her gaze to the north and south she was looking for the others. Pausing at the hill top for a quick lunch, she strung her bow and began the final steps towards the bluff.

Better safe than sorry.

Crouched behind a large tree, Therion looks towards the outcropping of rocks that does indeed resemble a bird in flight. He then glances back in the other direction, towards the distant water of the ocean. The terrain is mostly alien to him. He longs for the cold, snowy landscape of the northern reaches of Erethor, of the Veradeen, the only home he has ever known. Still unsure of why he had allowed the dream to take over the direction of his life, Therion moved from behind cover and started walking slowly but steadily towards the rock outcropping, pulling his hood low over his face as he walked. His weapons were not in his hands, his bow remaining strung across his back and his knives sheathed on his hips. He made no further effort to utilize cover as he walked the remaining hundred feet to the rock formation. Beneath his hood, his eyes darted left and right, ready for anything...

Qaridas slipped carefully through the tall grass from shrub to tree, from tree to rock. Keeping to cover, he closed the distance to the stone formation. The unfamiliar aroma of the ocean tickled his nose as he kept all of his senses on alert. As he drew nearer he scented the air for the trace of man or beast, his eyes combing the sparse landscape for signs of passage, his ears for the sounds that might denote an impending ambush. This land made him feel uncomfortable. Not nearly enough trees or undergrowth for his taste. Even so, the bird-in-flight outcropping drew him just the same. Whether for weal or for woe, he did not know, just that his future was closely tied to those stones.

The Meeting

It is the erenlanders, Tozin and Tak, who first arrive at the formation. They see each other at the same time when they are nearly to the formation. Regan, the dorn, arrives about a minute later and sees the to erenlanders. Several minutes later the three elves, Therion, Qaridas, and Tashki, arrive nearly at the same moment. They see each other before they spot the three humans already near the formation.

Game Note: This is the approximate arrival times based on your previously posted actions. Please post your reactions to the others based on these arrival times.

Dream Note: In the dream there is always six others besides yourself.

Tak approaches the other figure apprehensively, nervously brushing his dark, unkempt hair out of his eyes.

He raises his hand to get the other man's attention so as to speak, but then stands there in a dumb silence for several long, awkward moments.

"He- he- hello," he finally manages to get out, "H-have you seen the vision of this place too?" The thought makes the excitable youth nervous, and he begins to speak at a more and more hectic pace. "Because if so that could meanThatThisWasSupposedToHappen, l-l-like, like destiny wasCallingUsForSomeReason."

After he realizes that he is talking too much to let this other man speak, he shuts up rather suddenly and stares wide-eyed in anticipation of his answer.

Languages

Game Note: Since there isn't a common language, please always preface your speech with what language you are speaking.

Two possible speech formats:

Erenlander: "What's up?"
Orcish: "Are you OK?"

[Erenlander] "What's up?" [/Erenlander] [Orcish] "Are you OK? [/Orcish]

You could also designate one langauge as your default language and not need to designate that speech.

Example:

Default Language: Erenlander

"What's up?" [Orcish] "Are you OK?" [/Orcish]

Later,
Tails
