[MM2e] Salton City Needs Heroes! Episode 1: Premiere

"Seriously, they got Captain Superior?"

The Ten-Foot Pole frowned. "Unfortunately, they hired and assassin to take him out. He wasn't killed, but he isn't going to be able to fight crime for a while since they used Inferiorium on him. "

"The guy they hired was and Ex-KGB Soviet Hardliner named Igor the Untouchable who tends to work for the Russian mafia or Communist governments. A few years ago he was supposed to have been executed, but it looks like the KGB kept his duplication power a secret, since that's most likely how he survived. Luckily it appears that his duplicates started to act brain-dead and started to melt when he was knocked unconscious, so hopefully we wont have to deal with any of them now."
The Ten-Foot Pole scratched his head. "But if Igor is here and is working for the mob, I wonder what kind of plot we are involved in..."

Max Freedman: Dord

"Russians? Mobs? In Salton?" Max said. "I guess we know why the cast this season is so international. I mean, this is, well, it's awesome!

"I mean, it's not awesome what happened to Captain Superior, of course, or that there's mob and assassins, of course ... but it is kind of exciting, right?"

Max frowns a minute, thinking. "Who has access to Inferiorium?"

"Russians? Mobs? In Salton?"

"Well, this city does have a large population of Russian immigrants."

Max frowns a minute, thinking. "Who has access to Inferiorium?"

Shawn the cameraman spoke, "Didn't Rabid Fox say something about Inferiorium being an experimental alloy? Wouldn't that suggest that only the military or some researcher would have access to it?"

OOC: Instead of having an npc state following bit of info, I'll let one of you do it. If one of your characters were paying attention during their trip to the Salton City, they would have noticed signs for the "Salton Sea Naval Weapons Test Center" which is located south of the city.

"Well its not as if you've got some kind of military test centre around here is it?" jokes Terrence
"Huh? you do? oh" Terrence grins
"One more thing Mayor I've been in a team or two in my time I presume we have the usual rights and powers yeah? we had a whole load of do's and do nots in old section 9 back in the Uk not sure what your set up is over here"
Terrence nods to the mayors answer
"fair enough and do we have a liaison officer in the police department?"

"It wasn't just a cloning hit man either," Keiko said. "There was an old woman who was under some kind of mental influence. And the woman who escaped on the motorcycle was no clone."

She glances at the Mayor. "Is this still something we're going to be working on? There's a lot of loose ends left."

"Legally, to act as a crime fighter within the state of California you will first have to participate in a Californian Government recognized training course, receive background check, you must be properly insured, and you must obtain proper licensing through California's State Government or you must be registered with the US Federal Government."

Richard grinned smugly as he interrupted. "Don't worry, they have already have all the necessary paperwork filed and the Salton Starts have already gone through all the necessary training."

"Alright, then, I don't think you have to worry about anything then."

Emily glanced at Richard. "Richard, I really need to talk to you in private after this discussion ends."

Richard frowned, "If you insist. Although, I do not see why you would need to talk to me in private when everything has been arranged a head of time."

"Do we have a liaison officer in the police department?"

"You will have to speak with Police Chief Fokine about that."

Keiko spoke then asked, "Is this still something we're going to be working on? There's a lot of loose ends left."

"I do not think those were isolated occurrences, I think they might be connected to the assassination attempts."

OOC: It should be noted that the majority of crime fighters who operate in California are considered Anarchs due to all the stringent requirements that the state imposes on the Heroic community.

"Oh, I agree," Keiko replies. "That's why I asked. This assassination wasn't just a Russian hit man. It may not even have been just an assassination attempt. Are we still on the case, or is being considered closed now?"
