[MM2e] Salton City Needs Heroes! Episode 1: Premiere

The Ten-Foot Pole listens carefully to the latest threat and his teammates' suggestions.

"Well, with only two hours to go, I doubt we have much time to investigate the source. If it were that easy to trace, the mundane authorities would have found the blackmailer by now. I think we have to assume that the threat is real. We set up defensive positions around the mayor's ceremony. Wait for the attack to come, and then spring our trap. If Captain Superior is indeed neutralized, then the blackmailer may become overconfident and unwary."

"As for a team name. . . we want something that suggests a joint purpose, unified goals. Many heroes working together instead of a bunch of loose cannons wandering around in the same vicinity."

"The girl has a point" says Terrence pointing at Keiko "Ultrix Angelus sounds a lot like a Buffy stroke Japanese anime fan fic, we should be aiming for something to represent our meeting and the pole here isn't too far off the mark either, how about The Salton Six we could have a tagline about how you the public are our sixth member unless anyone has a sidekick I can't see"

"Wow someone threatening the mayor its like a retro episode of batman or something, and they've taken over the batcave as well, Keiko's second point also seems valid if this was a TV show *Winks at where he thinks a camera is* then it really would be Captain Superior who is the Villain""

"Two hours is a short amount of time though so if we're ready in and around the ceremony site that sounds like a good plan but any chance of getting a little introduction going? about who we are and what we can do?"

"I'm Terrence as I've already said, Terrence Vance, I have the power to shift my form into popular and not so popular TV & film Characters"
*Terrence morphs into Ross from Friends "we were on a break!" and then into Jonathon Ross "alwight?" before morphing back to Terrence*
"current pseudonym is Mr TV" Terrence looks at the most cynical of the people around "Hey! its more useful than it sounds, and what about you?" He points at someone randomly

Hmm, I guess I'm the only one with a love for Latin. That stinks. Michelle pouts.

If for some reason in the course of the show we move to another city than Salton Six will no longer be appropriate.

The Ten-Foot Pole shrugs.

"Nothing against Latin, in general. But we're not really Avenging Angels. . . seeing as we're neither angelic nor avenging. We're supposed to be protecting the people, not getting revenge."

"Salton something is good. . . the show is named after the city. But six minus one is a bit odd. I like the alliteration idea, but what next? Saltion Saviors is too messianic. . . Salton Soldiers is too militaristic."

"Maybe a totally different approach? How about an acronym?

Heroes Incapacitating Villanious Evils?"

"The Salton Protectors? The Salton Supers, Salton Salvo, Salton Shield, The Salton Stars...."Terrence continues jabbering about names

With a shake of her head, Keiko tunes the patter out and focuses on the television. A moment later she snaps and points at Terrance.

"You can turn into people on the television? Can you turn into him?" She turns her pointing finger to the image of the silhouetted man delivering the ultimatum.

A look of concentration take over Terrences face then a look of embaressment
"umm you see I don't know who he is and he's not really a TV personality he's just someone on TV theres a bit of a difference he doesn't make the show he's just a bit of information on it, its hard to explain...oh yeah I also can't do supes" Terrence's pale face goes a nice beetroot colour as he blushes

TFP shrugs at Mr. TV's limits.

"It presumably wouldn't help anyways. He's turning into characters, right? Not the actors. So even if he could, all we'd get was him looking shadowy and mysterious. No closer to an actual identity."

He looks around the room, aware of how much time has been wasted discussing team names. Best to get a move on.

"Anyways, I'm Michael. . . the, er, Ten-Foot Pole."

He has the decency to look ashamed at his tourism board mandated super hero name.

"I'm tall. That's about it. I suggest that if we're going to keep discussing ourselves and our 'team', that we do so as we move. We don't have a whole lot of time, and Ms. Fox is right, we could do with taking a look around."

"Michaels right lets move, still I like the Salton Stars it means we could have a star motif for each of our uniforms without losing our own individuality"

"hey did I just hear you put quotation marks around that mention of team? Positive attitude bud, I've got a good feeling about this" Terrence says looking over at Michael

I'd like to use my various knowledge skills, TV Trivia, current events and gather information, to find out if any TV star live in Salton or have been visiting recently/visit here often or if theres any filming going on.
Also I'd like to know what Terrence knows about this Emily Holland character (I assume most of it will be in relation to TV) using my well informed feat.

Ugh. Stars, why is it always stars? Like I haven't dealt with enough of 'em in my time as an actress.

Michelle reaches inside her jacket and pulls out the remote for Nocturna. She press the button to recall Nocturna in flight mode.

As you all know, my name is Michelle Fox. I'm a tech head, a bit of a gadgeteer and I'm also capable of cuttin' losse and clean. I can slice 'em and dice 'em. *snikt* Her claws come out and are then retracted. *snikt*

She then puts the remote away and smirks. Nocturna will be joining us soon. She'll be a vauable asset.
