Monarch of the Monsters: Kobold Press' 5E Monster Design Contest

Kobold Press is holding a D&D 5E Monster Design Contest called Monarch of the Monsters. They'll be judged by a panel made up of Wolfgang Baur, Rich Howard, and Steve Winter, and the top five voted on by the public. Prizes include signed copies of Kobold Press' books, including Hoard of the Dragon Queen and Kobold Guide to Combat. While entries become property of Kobold Press, Wolfgang Baur mentioned by email to me that "prizes and payment are awarded for the winner and for published work, etc."

The deadline for entries is February 23rd, 2015.

It is that time again—time for another Kobold Press contest! And this time, we’re focusing on the latest edition of D&D.

Using rules for the 5th edition of D&D, design a monster of any kind and send it to us for judging. The maximum length for entries is 600 words, and entries must be submitted on or before February 23, 2015, to be eligible. You’ll find the full details in the rules below.

A panel of judges will pick out five finalists to post on the Kobold Press website. Then we’ll ask the public to vote on the entry they think should win the grand prize!

Could folks clarify what they mean when they say the article isn't showing? Are you seeing a blank post or something?

That means 600 words + the stat block right?

In the comments of the contest, Kobold press said "Illustrations are not allowed, and will disqualify a submission. We’re looking for at writing ability only."

So, if you are submitting, DON'T send in a picture!!!!!!

Oops, didn't see someone had already said this, sorry.
