Monte's Dragon Magic spells

Any opinions on the Dragon Magic spells in Book of Eldritch Might III? They're supposed to be slightly stronger than other spells of the same level, but I don't really see it. Is it worth it for a Sorcerer (already hard up on feats, compared to the Wizard) to spend a feat to gain access to these spells?

Anyone got Dragon #308? How many new Dragon Magic spells are in there? Better yet, how about a brief description of each?

There are 20 Dragon magic spells in 308.

In general, they seem somewhat more potent than normal spells. I will say they would be more useful if you were a dragon than if you were something else (imagine that! :D ). I could see a sorcerer with a 'child-of-dragons' theme making good use of these spells, but I doubt most people would want the spells so much to want to spend the feat.

If you're a player, I suggest stealing your DM's copy of #308 and burning it, though--a dragon using Unstoppable Energy (negates energy defense spells for 1 attack) could be quite deadly!

I'm still not sure if I'll buy it or not, since I'm mainly interested in the one article (as a supplement to BoEM3), and more interested in Dragon Magic that's usable by humans. But that helps.
 

The spells in Dragon 308 are useful

I think most of the spells in Dragon 308 would be useful to humans, though some are clearly more useful for dragons. The Unstoppable Energy spell could come in handy if you have a sorcerer with a lot of evocation spells and you are facing creatures of spellcasters with a lot of natural or magical resistances to energy. If I remember correctly, it even negated magical (though not natural) immunity to an element.
