I bought the Avernus one for Baldurs Gate nostalgia and the dice tray really. The dice are nice and the cards are largely superfluous. But it was a fun little gift.

There is no way that even a fraction of the lore could be published for the forgotten realms from 4 editions. In hard back format even. The Menzoberranzan book alone was a hardback for 4e and that’s one fraction of one slice of the underdark (amazing map though!)

I should say most of the forgotten realms hardbacks are available on eBay for reasonable prices, I’ve just sold most of my collection for £20-£30 a book in decent condition. There are options for those who don’t like pdf.

In these days youre probably right with wikis, pdfs and such but I think theres a market for it in some form.

I dunno, maybe not much of one. Fantasy Flight games took that approach to Star Wars, one of the biggest IPs on the planet, and that didn't work for them, apparently.

I think theyre leaving alot of loot on the table if they dont.

They may be, but they are a small staff. There is only so much that they can do/manage and ensure quality products.

I'd love a new FR atlas, but I don't think we're going to get one.

Except that they aren't a small staff at all, I was shocked when I found out.
