Movie Review of Ghost Rider

I think Ghost Rider mostly got lucky release wise, which is why it's making good money. I mean there really isn't anything else out right now in the popcorn flick category. Were there some real competition out there, I doubt it would be doing so well.

I found it so-so. I think they did a good job with the special efx on the Ghost Rider himself, but the story wasn't very compelling and they could have done much more.

Cage getting his neck snapped, Cage having his face burned off and the motorcycle at full speed being a weapon of mass destruction all won points wih me. I went in with rock bottom expectations and liked the movie.

The voice of the rider needed work, cheese abounded and I was disappointed when blackheart did not assume his comic book form near the end. Overall, I'd say the movie is worth theater hopping to.

Bad Movie

This movie was pretty bad. It had some good elements, but poor direction, poor dialogue, wooden acting, and an overreliance on special effects turned it into a poor movie. It had great visual effects, but that doesn't make a good movie.

I hope they have a chance to do a sequel. With a better writer and better director, I bet they can turn the Ghost Rider into a cool movie franchise. Ghost Rider definitely has potential, just need to improve the story next time around. They have the special effects down. Now that they do, maybe they can spend more time making sure the other elements of a good movie are done better next time.

I really think building the special effects for the Ghost Rider were difficult. They must have spent alot of their time and budget doing it.
