Sometimes when a DM gets out of hand, its good to punch him in the face. That usually puts the game on a different track, plus sets the mood in real life.
But you don't have to take my word for it.
Actually though, it does suck when the DM railroads a game. My best advice is to either be the DM or find a new one. Railroading DM's rarely change their wayward ways.
