NBA Playoffs

I've been silent about this for almost a year.

The Mavs lost tonight- BADLY- and I'm glad.

I'm not a hater. I actually respect them- usually.

However, after they were such poor sports following their loss to Miami last year, I was hoping they'd fail again. I just didn't expect the failure to be so spectacular!

The Mavs never complemented the Heat on their fine play and amazing comeback, and instead only focused on their own failings. The best thing they said of their opponents was, essentially, that they took advantage of the Mavs goofs. "They didn't win the championship, we lost it." was their refrain.

So. Mavs out. Perhaps this 1st round loss after a 67 win regular season will teach some of them a little humility and sportsmanship.

The Dallas-GS series was awesome, although I'm dragging this morning after staying up to watch it last night. I haven't seen the NBA like that maybe ever - the crowd was amazing.

Not really a Mavs fan, but I didn't want to see them out of the playoffs. With the Mavs, Nuggets, and Wizards gone, and the Raptors down 3-2, the Suns are pretty much left alone carrying the mantle of fast-paced basketball. Fortunately they're the best team left.

And Golden State..

Well count me as one who's happy the Mavs are out. Not that I hate the players (little peeved though at Dirk and his stupid we gave Miami the championship comments), I actually felt bad for them losing like that. I'm happy cause that stupid owner of theirs doesn't get to gloat all the way to the chip. Maybe next time Cuban will learn to keep his mouth shut like the other team owners in the league.

Personally, I hope Phoenix gets the title. Steve Nash certainly deserves it.
