Need a description for a small 1d6 18-20 x2 weapon.

There is currently a 'hole' in the weapon tables for a small exotic weapon that does 1d6 18-20 x2. I would love to get some descriptive ideas.

To clarify the "hole":

Medium has:
longsword (1d8 19-20 x2) --> mercurial longsword (1d8 20 x4)
rapier (1d6 18-20 x2) --> elven thinblade (1d8 18-20 x2)

Large has:
greatsword (2d6 19-20 x2)--> mercurial greatsword (2d6 20 x4)
falchion (2d4 18-20 x2) --> great scimitar (2d6 18-20 x2)

Small has:
shortsword (1d6 19-20 x2) --> <no weapon> (1d6 20 x4)
halfling rapier (1d4 18-20 x2) --> <no weapon> (1d6 18-20 x2)

the first small weapon could be a 'mercurial shortsword' but what about the second? Halfling thinblade?

I'm looking for a great weapon for two weapon fighting that is the exotic equivalent of the shortsword.

My campaign tends to include just about all those weapons in the right column as very rare items, akin to very minor artifacts (not sold in stores, so order today!). As an example, mercurial weapons are the famed githyanki "silver swords" (playing on that "mercury = quicksilver" theme), so owning one has its own baggage that the PC may not want to carry.

That being said, the "halfling rapier" seems to have filled up the slot previously occupied by the kukri (saving a feat at that!), so perhaps you can assume the kukri is a bit larger knife (Small rather than Tiny) and give it 1d6 damage. Or call the new version "great kukri" or something like that.

Perhaps it's the racial weapon of the Bladelings on Acheron, and they're just as hardheaded as the githyanki about it...

Arwink, the bladed gauntlet was errata'd to 1d6 19-20 x2. Basically it's a shortsword that's always ready and can't be disarmed

squire james - not completely certain of the halfling rapier, it's from the recent swashbuckler's dragon mag. I'm fairly certain it's not exotic - just a small version of the rapier after all... I really think that there should be a full 'small' collection of weapons available to make halflings and gnomes playable.

Bruce Cordell told me that the bladed gauntlet was supposed to be 1d6 18-20 x2. Not only did they mess it up in the printed book, the errata made it inferior to the originally designed version.

Does 'moved' mean this post was moved to a new forum? If so which one? Sorry, but I'm a newb...

Another cool idea on this from montecook's forum is a "serrated waveblade" that is like a kris sword.

I would love to see a kris blade usable as either a shortsword 1d6 19-20 x2 OR an exotic weapon 18-20 1d6 x2 to allow for treasure placement.

Good enough for me. Pretty much the rules I was using before the errata came out anyway :)
