Whirling Frenzy (Ex): A barbarian with this variant form of rage doesn't gain the normal bonuses when he enters a rage. Instead, when a barbarian with whirling frenzy enters a rage, he temporarily gains a +4 bonus to Strength and a +2 dodge bonus to Armor Class and on Reflex saves. While in a whirling frenzy, the barbarian may make one extra attack in a round at his highest base attack bonus, but this attack takes a -2 penalty, as does each other attack made that round. This penalty applies for 1 round, so it also affects attacks of opportunity the barbarian might make before his next action.

Whirling frenzy is otherwise identical to the standard barbarian rage in all other ways. At 11th level (when a standard barbarian gains greater rage), the Strength bonus increases to +6, and the dodge bonus to Armor Class and on Reflex saves increases to +3. At 20th level (when a standard barbarian gains mighty rage), the Strength bonus increases to +8 and the dodge bonus to Armor Class and on Reflex saves increases to +4.

A barbarian using this variant doesn't gain indomitable will at 14th level. Instead, he gains evasion, but only while in a whirling frenzy.

A character can't use whirling frenzy at the same time that he uses any other form of rage (or similar ability).

Note: Whirling frenzy is found in Unearthed Arcana, on page 66.
Is it only my impression, or is Whirling Frenzy way better than the standard Rage abilitiy ? WF only drops the CON bonus for an additional +4 AC and +1 extra attack, way too good if you ask me.

I think the biggest disadvantage for whirling frenzy is that neither your will nor your fortitude save increases. Fort and Will saves are generally worse to fail the reflex saves.
And don't forget if you take the extra attack you get a -2 to all attack rolls for the whole round.

Its almost funny to see how every build so far has been nowhere near the standard 25pt build. With 25pts you need to think much more carefully about what feats you really want.

Anyway any medium sized chracter with his best attributes in Str and Con, a large weapon and power attack, stuffed into the heaviest armor will do quite nicely.

Sadly a fighters power is mostly related to the worth of his magic equipment, not attributes and feats. That rings more true the higher the level.

And when comparing new base classes to "old" look at what it can do that the fighter can not and vice versa. If the trade seems reasonable to you and the dm go for it. There is no universal balance for classes, only balance within the specific campaign.

Equipment: Thylegine (Ambassador to Giants)Louri's Bracers of Shielding (command-word activated, casts shield 3/day), Haela's Blessed Helm of Courage (+4 morale bonus to saves verses fear effects)

Hijack!
Are these items core, home made or where can I find them.

Well, 25 PB is not the average used in campaigns in actual play. There have been polls about that, which showed quite clearly, that 28 or 32 PB are FAR more common.

The one I posted would work the same with 25 PB, tho, just reduce Str to 16 and Wis to 8 (altho the loss of Will save certainly hurts a bit :)).

Bryan's is 32 PB and the 80 is certainly a number to spread out over the six ability scores with every point (starting at 0) costing one such stat point.
