need help finding right prestige class

AlphaOmega

First Post
so I turn here...

I'm creating an NPC for my group's upcoming session on Sat. night. Basically I'm looking for a prestige class from an "offical" source. I have a temple guardian who kinda operates in reverse. After an artifact is return to the temple and thus activated it hunts down the person who placed it back.

any ideas as what be a solid prestige for this???

What alignment?

A Foe Hunter might work.

its alignment would be true netural... it couldn't care less who brought the artifact back or why... only that now its singular purpose is to eliminate the offender...

I did look at the Foe Hunter but I would have to tweak it; I thought in all the books out there I'd find something nearly custom-made for this...

Seems like assassin would be in order.

You'll have to clear up the nature of this "eliminator"? Quiet and deadly, or stomp-stomp-smash?

oh... he/it would most definitely fall into the "stomp-stomp-smash" category... basically I wanted to use a modified shield guardian as a base creature and then give it levels; including a PRC that fits its task...

thanks for the replies so far, and keep it coming... I still have 27 1/2 hours 'til gametime :)

Consecrated Harrier

while I really like some of the abilities of the Harrier... I just don't see him having ranks in disguise or Profession- lawyer... I'm afraid I might have to blend a couple of PrC's in order to create what I'm looking for...

and there's always Rule 0 and I could just add and subtract from the Harrier... but in a perfect world I'd like to find the right fit with little tweaking...

I pulled that from memory. The harrier is the one that is like the uber holy ranger, right?

If so, just nix the requirements given and make up your own. To me, that bonus against the tracked foe is just too perfect for what you are looking for. Alternatively, you could just say that whatever religion he is serving grants him the special prereq to ignore certain prereq's. There is in fact a mechanic for this in OA with certain PrC's for monks.

Why not use an Inevitable? IIRC they have tracking abilities, are remorseless and relentless. Marut would be my choice, and you can advance them as needed.

I'm not familar with them... please enlighten me... sounds like what I'm looking for from your description...
