Staff of Plenty: This solid beech staff is engraved with pictures of running water and images of harvest. It allows the use of the following spells.

  • Create Water (1 charge)
  • Purify Food and Drink (1 charge)
  • Create Food & Water (1 charge)
  • Heroes' Feast (3 charges)

Moderate Conjuration; CL 11th; Craft Staff, create water, purify food and drink, create food and water, heroes' feast; Price 17531gp

I did this on the assumption that 0 level spells would count as 1/2 a spell level for the purpose of determining staff price. Let me know what you think.

since the purpose of the item is to help out in a seige, perhaps instead of making it a staff with charges, price it as a rod with each ability x/day. I don't know how they will compaire cost wise, but the rod would be more useful in a seige that lasts months if not years.

Hrm...a rod is a good idea because it's a one time investment, but we'd need one heck of a rod. More specifically, 112 of them.

Rod of Sustanance: Allows 50 charges of Create Food and Water per day at 12th caster level. Cost: 648000gp.

648000x112 = 72576000gp

eesh.

what's that from? I think the cost might be wrong, that way more expensive then anything in DMG.

Create Food, 3rd level spell. Caster levl of 12...use activated is spell level (3) * caster level (12) 8 2000 = 72 000, but since the spell duration is 24 hours we cut that in half so 36 000 for this.
