New Spidey 3 Trailer

Just watched the new Spiderman 3 trailer on Comdey Central. I was worried that it was going to suffer from the "too many villains" problem that some of the batman movies did, but the trailer was pretty good. No sign of Venom (whom needs his own movie, imo) and a good balance between the sand man and Harry. Anyone heard anything about Venom's involvement in the flick?

Given the presence of the suit and Eddie Brock- both in the trailers- I'd think it is pretty safe to say that Venom is going to show up in some capacity in this movie.

[sblock]Yes- there was some concept art that was on the Sony site for a bit before it got taken down. It can be seen here.

Plus, there is distinctly white and black webbing in the trailer. White webbing when Spidey is wearing the costume, so where would the black webbing come from when he's not wearing the costume, but from Venom?[/sblock]

Great trailer. And I'm glad the focus is on Peter's obssesive need for revenge and how it consumes him, all the while he pushes away those who care about him the most.

Sandman looks great on screen, and Thomas Hayden Church looks to be an inspired casting choice. And I'll admit, I had my doubts about the symbiote being nothing more than a black version of his regular outfit. But looking at how it moves, I have no more complaints. Looking forward to May 4th!

Holy carp, that looked awesome. However, I almost feel like they gave away too much plot in there. You see how Sandman gets his powers, how Peter gets the "suit", how he gets rid of it and what happens to Harry. Could be misdirection and most comic-readers will know how Peter gets rid of the symbiote but it did seem like a bit much to give away. No big deal as I trust Raimi but I just wanted to mention it.
