Yeah, Detect Magic is one of those spells/cantrips that should give # of auras as a verbal spell. Add somantic and get levels of auras. Add material compenents for school.

Kind of annoying that cleric gets to basically choose two of 1) proper armour , 2) a proper ranged weapon, 3) medical supplies, at first level.

I took medicine as a trained skill, but I either couldn't carry or couldn't afford a healer's kit. (I can't remember which, though it might have been both). I didn't realise that the skill would be near useless without it.

I think Jericho could have afforded it BUT could not carry it as my Alchemist pack was too heavy

Healer's Kit costs an arm and a leg for a level 1 character. It is 50 silver, 1/3 of starting wealth.

Well Jericho has 42sp still but I purchased a writing set for 15sp. I should have just got it and had someone else carry it
