For my end, Alma is perfectly happy to work with people for a common end. Her sense of morality is maybe just a little different than most people. Or maybe different enough from the Good Alignment at least. But I don't like making characters who can't/won't work with a group, even if they might be wary of trusting that group with more personal information.

For now my character just wants to salvage what he can from his failed mission and figure out a way to spin it as not being his fault/actually being a success by him to his superiors.

He can get along with most people as long as they don't get in his way.

I can incorporate a bit of Alma's intro, since the quest-giver has brought Alma on as a specialist.

I have the post with initial quest-giver that gathers the party together written, was going to post tomorrow morning (PST) but I could post tonight if folks prefer.

I didn't spend too long thinking about alignment really so not sure if chaotic good is the right one. Russet I think has a very strong idea of "fair play", actual laws don't matter too much as long, but he finds obvious injustice intolerable. He's not politically literate and struggles to see the bigger picture about systemic injustice, however.
However due to his guilty conscience about betraying his gang, he could be easily convinced to deviate from his morals. It's a bit of a nihilistic phase.
