(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

So, I kind of feel like things have stalled slightly. I was kind of hoping to have started chapter 3 of the adventure this week. The market is definitely a side-trek.

Potion shop:
Benny is currently in stasis, asking for someone to pull him back up onto the balcony. I'm going to start a combat tracker and assume Deidre and Anson haven't really realized the danger yet.

Benny needs to make another DC 13 Con check.

Depending on what happens, this encounter is potentially deadly.

Pendant Stall

Waiting on people (snarf and neurotic)to post for 'Round 3'
  • Girl is unwilling to go with you but that doesn't prevent you from leaving or doing anything else like looting. She is quiet at least.
  • @Neurotic are you still around?

I'm working long days this week so I will post at the end of the day. But I will have opportunities to answer questions most of the day.

Just going to interject here. Caer is barely empathetic to people, and I've been straining as much as I can, but he already failed and has nothing for charisma. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it's not against his ethos to throw up his hands and grab a pendant. It's the way of nature.

I mention this because, again, small human girl. If either of you is not neutral, disposed to dislike people, and kinda sorta serving the Raven Queen, you might feel differently.

Sure. I think Stratus will just grab the two foot case with the key in it and tuck it in his sack (with the wooden side against anything metal, in case they bang together like before!)
There is no action for that (in the terms that rounds in this scene are a minute long. It only takes 6 seconds to put someone in your bag) Which means you can still do a different action in Round 3.

If Havoc does nothing this round, people can assume he’s aiding someone.

Yes, I'm around and follow thinigs on my phone - unfortunately, last night after beach we had unnounced guests and only now I have some time at the laptop

Sorry, reading IC right now

Just read your post. You didn’t post a roll to convince her or to bring her by force. She’s a 4 year old girl. It took you guys 15 minutes of sneaking through the streets, scrambling over buildings and using your super powers to avoid zombies. Leaving her or pointing her to the pudgy pig is a death sentence.

If nobody does anything this round, I’m assuming you are leaving her to die.

I read his post as Havoc doing a charisma check to convince her to join us, but telling her where to go if she doesn't?

From our thread ( @Neurotic @FitzTheRuke )
If you stay another round, make a dex save dc 14 vs the rat swarm.

If you leave, where are you going?

Do you want to leave stealthily or just book it to the temple? Do you want to go to the potion shop?

Taking this to the OC to see if anyone has any other bright ideas. Here are my thoughts.

1. Caer might love the wilderness, and nature, and goth stuff. But ... Ima draw the line at SWARM OF RATS. I recommend leaving with extreme haste.

2. Um... we had a mission or something, right? Frig. There's a kid now too. Do we keep going, or do we detour back to the Pig to drop the kid off? It's probably more hazardous to hit the Pig, but ... sigh ... it's the right thing to do.

3. For this, I am going with RP preferences here. Caer is itching to get on gettin'. I'm sure the potion shop has goodies and stuff, but don't care (caer?) from an RP perspective. As a general rule, Caer is inclined to go stealthy, and then book it if the stealth mode isn't activating.

ETA- I have decided that Ima call the girl Newt. All in favor, say AYE! All opposed ... you're wrong.
