So...can I hear your thoughts?Havoc is between +2 Str and a feat that gives only +1. But obviuosly with benefits...it delays STR 20 by "only" two levels for a fighter
Will have it done by weekend
In my opinion, mage slayer is the most powerful feat in the game. Legendary resistance once per short rest, nuts. Just that is worth a feat. And you get a +1asi +concentration breaker. It's a must have IMHO, the sooner the better. I didn't take it for Benny because I want him to be good at his job ( caster support) but it's on the list.So...can I hear your thoughts?
Mage Slayer at 4th and Delicious pain at 6th (or vice versa) will bring me ability to shrug off mental attacks and some damage while still having Str 20 at 6th...
on the other hand, STR +2 brings me +1 DC to my grab, +1 to hit and damage, but then on of the above feats gets to increase dex which isn't very useful...
right now, I'm leaning on Delicious pain first - and later when undead domination and various effects become more common add saves - storywise, we had encounters with casters so Mage slayer isn't a stretch, but pain is definitely more common
I looked at your build in the RG, and I'd also recommend you consider crusher and sentinel in addition to mage slayer. All of these are +1 str in 2024. Also, they allow for control in combat, which is super fun, and makes your character feel more useful. I'm not sure you'll get a lot of mileage out of delicious pain. Sure, once in a while you'll decrease large hits by half (if nonmagical btw), but the other feats can be used more often. I still highly recommend mage slayer, but I can see my other 2 recommendations competing for the 4th level feat.So...can I hear your thoughts?

There's no such thing in 2024 as "Magic" Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing Damage. It's BPS or it's one of the energy types (Force being the "best"). I suspect that this fact is what Steve meant. You are maybe confusing it with armor master? No mention of magic or non here
Toughened Flesh. Immediately after you take Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage, you can take a Reaction to gain Resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage until the start of your next turn. Once you use this benefit, you can’t use it again until you finish a Short or Long Rest
