I believe so. These things usually do (ex: repelling blast and crusher), so this should too. DM to adjudicate as always.

I finished the update and I'm ready to continue the adventure - ASI Str +2, then at 5th get another +1 DC due proficiency increase...and by that time I hope to know if there will be more zombie mobs or casters

by 8th level both feats and STR 20 are a given

Sorry guys, I don’t think this is going to happen. I’m starting a new full time job so most of my spare time is going to be eaten away and I don’t want to do a half-assed job.

No worries, but please never say never. After the first two months, new jobs tend to get into cruise control mode. And then there there's the summer lull.
I'd rather cling to hope, even if it's very remote
