D&D 5E [OOC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

Yeah no one grabbed that rope. I
Momentum carried it through the window and now about 30' of it is tangled up in the webbing. Besides, the only characters that can squeeze through the arrow slits are the gnomes and the halfling.

Someone can tie an end to one of the ballistae (something else anchored) and through the rest out the arrow slit, so that we have something that we can slow our descent, at least. But I am not in there...

Here's another rope thought, though, if we want to go that route: tie one end of the remaining ropes to something downstairs in the guard tower, then throw the rope through the north-facing arrow slit. We could exit from the southwest-facing door, walk around the ledge to the north side (looks like it extends all the way around), grab the rope, and shimmy down that side, since the webs don't extend to there but the pool is still below. That avoids the spider/web mess.

It also means we could leave the eastern door barred and (hopefully) bridge down. I got one pin up, if the NPCs get theirs, that would hopefully rule out most quaggoth danger, too.

Of course, there are still flying demons and rope checks...

Edit: And DMAesh beats me to the punch while I type. :)
