[OT] Insomniac conversation... come in and grab some coffee

I've been rather sleepless lately. Well, that's not accurate- I'm sleep... ful... but increasingly later and later. I'm unemployed currently so it's not a big problem, but I like waking up at 8:30 and getting started with the day. It just feels like I'm less of a washout that way. Then I get to play, and in doing so I slay a fey who lay with ray last may.

...sorry. At any rate, last night I finally gave in to sleep at 5, then woke up at 1 pm. I felt tremendously lazy. I then decorated my coffee table with empty coors lite cans and cigarette butts to just cement the feel of the whole situation. You understand. So, tonight, I'm slurpin' coffee and attempting to stay up all night. I'm trying to overshoot tonight's sleep, or at least push it all the way back to my NORMAL bedtime- midnight-ish- later tonight.

I've got maybe six hours of sitting up working on my story hour and a SPYCRAFT adventure before the majority of the eastern time zone wakes up and groans about their business. Thought I'd start a thread in which sleepless people or just wacky Europeans could come in and keep me occupied with inane whatever. A sort of Breakfast Club atmosphere. Anything, really. no spankings for derailing a particular topic.

Who's out there?
yawn...

Ya, almost 2am here and I'm not even tired. Luckily, I too, have nothing planed for tommorrow so staying up is no big deal. I'm working on some reviews trying to get caught up on those.

My roommate is working on a paper and talking on speaker phone to his mom. So I've started watching some Cowboy Bebop while I kill time waiting for him to go to bed.

What are you reviewing?

Larry King-style random thought: Of all the great conversations in your life, how many of them have taken place in kitchens? The more I think about it, the more I come to realize this one pointless, stupid thing. The best conversations happen in kitchens.

hey there Victim- sorry about just running up and slicing into you like that in the Game of Death, old chap. You just looked so plump and juicy, floating in the forest, like a flesh pinata. I had to take a stab. "Tell Michael it was nothing personal... just business."

Me, I woke up at something after 3 AM (my time) and have been awake ever since.

I then decorated my coffee table with empty coors lite cans and cigarette butts to just cement the feel of the whole situation.
Feng Shui? ;)
Heh. I recently ran my first game of Feng Shui (the RPG, that is). And I must say it freakin' rocks...

Ohhh, how'd it go? I love that freakin' game... as I'm sure all you people are sick of hearing by now. The aforementioned SPYCRAFT game is pretty much a test to see if I can do big HK-style stunts in a d20 game. Plus the gadgets are a big draw.

How many action scenes were there, and what were the locations they took place in/around? Chases? Vehicles? Big explosions?

Yeah, I'm up down here, too. Not particularly tired. Thank God classes ended today and I've got nowhere to be tomorrow. Doesn't feel like such a problem being up this late if I can hibernate later. Just poking through lists of books I have to read for my exams. Kind of scary, really.

Best,
tKL
