NYC not representative?

Well, that's true I suppose...

still don't see soccer becoming anywhere near as popular as the big four though...

Uh... You mean in the US? Soccer is without doubt the most popular sport in the world, some say the ratings in the World Cup are higher than in the Olympics even. Billions will watch the final of that I am sure. That being said this is about NHL...

Swedes in general love the NHL. Not me though... I am one of those who loves Baseball and American Football. NFL is the ultimate league for me. But as I wrote NHL is large here much due to the players, Forsberg, Sundin and Lidstrom to name a few.

I do hope Caroline wins though. They are underdogs and I have always have an affinity for those unless I was a fan of the favorite team...

Red wings win again and Hasek gets another shut out.

Thursday night we can all watch the greatest spectacle in sports as Steve Yzerman lifts the cup for the third time in his illustrious career.

GO WINGS!!!!!!

Don't count your chickens before their hatched. I'm still thinking Wings in six, so it might be Steve skating with the Cup, just not at the Joe.

Canes though couldn't muster any offense. But nice to see some timely goals by Hull and Shananhan ESPECIALLY. Larniov scoring, always a bonus.

Players were taking IV treatments after Saturday's marathon game so they could return last night. It was a nice little run, but you can stick a fork in the 'Canes. They're done.

IV treatments? I hadn't heard about that. Still, I agree. The 'Canes are done. My original prediction of Wings in game 5 seems almost inevitable now.

But one thing that the 'Canes have showed throughout is that you can't count them out when you think they're done for. But I think the Wings have figured out how to beat them now. Not to mention the fact that they are just down too low to crawl back up out of that hole now, IMO.

Still, how did the refs miss that cross check by Fischer, I wonder? That was brutal! That would've be a real nasty call.

The Wings are just too Strong !

I hope to see at least another victory of the Hurricanes.... but I will not gamble a 2$ on that.

I do hope that there is another game back in Raleigh because of how Carolina has played this postseason adn how the fans deserve one more look at their team. I say wings in 6 or 7. Just remember what the LA Kings did last year coming from two games back and winning the series in 6. Its not over yet but it is looking grim for the canes.

Sorry for my absence everyone, but I was still recovering from the triple overtime thriller Saturday...and a grueling (but wonderful) D&D session that same evening.

I'll simply say that my boys are one win shy of starting a serious party here in Motown!! And that post Francis hit on the power play last night, may well have been the clanging chimes of Carolina's swan song. Detroit has figured out how to beat the 'Canes at their own game, while Carolina just isn't equipped to beat the Wings with any other style of play.
