Photoing Minis

mps42

First Post
I wasnt sure where to post this and thought this would pry be the best place...

I am trying to re-enter mini painting and have some paints (generic wal-mart stuff) and was wanting to get something like a color conversion chart that would have a color swatch and what that color would be for different paint companies. eg: <this color> = Citadel bone white = vallejo stark white (or whatever) = (etc.)
Is there such a thing and, if so, where would I find it?

YES! That was pretty much exactly what I was looking for! Thanks.

Yes, I will post a few pics once I get the hang of photoing them...

Perhaps you will find this site helpful? Good luck and post some of your figs when you're done.
Is there a way for the website impaired to post pics IN a thread? I don't have my own website and I think I asked you before about this and I dropped off for a while. Thanks again!

okay, not that I have my colors, paints, brushes and a Painted mini or two, I need to know how to take a decent pic of them and post them if I have no website (much as mad hatter, above).
So, now what?

Here's a great thread on how to photograph mini's from over on the Privateer Press forums.

As for uploading the pics, you caould either get a free account at an image hosting site like www.photobucket.com or upload them directly to this site.
Thanks! When I get some "spare" time, I'll get some of my minis up. They aren't Pogre or Nyrf quality, but they have seen some epic battles.
