My least-favorite posts are the ones along the lines of "I'm never wrong, you just misunderstood me" and "if I repeat something enough times it will become true."

My least favorite is a spin-off of that series in which someone else more reasonable comes in to defend the position of the type of poster you are describing or provide a POV that attempts to understand where they are coming from (both done in good faith) but the poster in question nevertheless finds some small point to disagree with and start a new branch of the argument.

The narcissism of small differences, I guess.

Time for another edition of, EN World pineapple thread decides!

Local friend of mine and I have a friendly competition to make videos to hype our Battletech convention in Minneapolis in December. Here are our submissions for 30-ish second ads;

Taurians are a periphery state. Their people often looked at as space hicks and ranchers who just want to be left alone.


The Davions are French inspired noble House often seen as saviors from invaders both inside and out of the Inner Sphere (seen as hoity-toity and highfalutin by many other states).

I have no idea what they said, but my money is on the Davions.

If the Taurians can't manage to even bring the right salsa, and the Davions are early enough to re-up their battle perfume.. Well, we know who is better prepared.

Nothing better than when the postman puts your package of RPG books in the wrong lockbox. Now I have to wait to see if someone drops the books off on my front door step (ideal) or if I have to tell the mail order company my stuff went AWOL.
