I think I exist on the polar opposite: "here's an idea, and I don't care to fight about it." People will attack over nothing though. Though you are right, the issue is engaging in the first place.

Local friend of mine and I have a friendly competition to make videos to hype our Battletech convention in Minneapolis in December. Here are our submissions for 30-ish second ads;

Taurians are a periphery state. Their people often looked at as space hicks and ranchers who just want to be left alone.


The Davions are French inspired noble House often seen as saviors from invaders both inside and out of the Inner Sphere (seen as hoity-toity and highfalutin by many other states).

It is like if someone hates you, there is no point of figuring out why. It won't change anything.

There is no RPG related book that I need to read. So if the author of a book consistently comes across as a jerk, I have no problem disregarding their book.
