Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

From my end, it often needlessly adds $$$$ to the bottom line costs of developing pharmaceuticals. In one of my Econ classes, we were given an actual balance sheet that detailed one company’s report on getting a particular drug to market. Fully one half of the costs were for TV & magazine ads…for a drug that would NOT be released as an OTC, but would require a prescription. IOW, advertising directly to people who couldn’t independently buy the product.🤦🏾‍♂️
Uh, just for amusement purposes, which drug was it? What drug in particular? Any idea? No... no reason, just... ah... asking for a friend.

If it's the same one, apparently it's a diabetes drug.
It rules* being diabetic because it's damn near impossible to get a hold of diabetes medication because they keep being sold as miracle weight loss drugs so everything I actually need to take to survive are massively expensive and out of stock so people can keep selling magazines.

*it does not, in fact, rule

From his side, it leads to patients demanding treatments that wouldn’t really be their best (or even a good or effective) option. It creates an illusion of being an informed patient in the minds of certain people. He’s had to fire patients who believed the ads over his considered treatment plans. (And yes, it’s gotten noticeably worse since 2016.)

Language, but this is by far the best ad I've seen.

This is why Americans, in northern States, organize bus tours to hit Canadian pharmacies.
