The thing is, it is better to be the one putting people up than being the one being put up. I love helping too and I am grateful for my friends (we had an impromptu Super Bowl watch party last night) but maybe it is just my personality but I just can’t help but feel like I am imposing even if they are genuine in saying it is no imposition and I do my best to be the best guest I can possibly be (which is hard when the 3-year old kid, rambunctious dog, and ornery cat are not necessarily cooperatingI was thrilled to be able to provide this service to the people I care about when they needed help, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I envy your friend.
