I don't believe in the no-win scenario
Other than air conditioning, older GMs notoriously rot from the outside in (that is to say, they'll still be functional when the outside looks like its been through the wars). Our backup car is still an '84 (yes, you're reading that right) Olds Cutless Supreme, and I had a Chevrolet Celebrity that just ran and ran.

(Of course not having AC in Southern California is almost as great an idea s not having heat in Minnesota, which is one reason its the backup car...)
Oh the Cutlass is a classic!

Alternative view-

GMs are not reliable, and only Fords promote player agency.

Just turned in a project I worked on for 11 months. I've been super-deliberate and careful all along, so even the last minute "oh god, should I have done something about X" second thoughts are pretty minor.

Now, I'm mostly just tired and ready to sleep for a month.

Congrats. Thats one of the great feelings.

In the 80s we had a ford aerostar and that thing broke down on a trip to Sequoia in Bakersfield. We spent a week in bakersfield while they fixed it. Rolled it out of the dealer and it overheated. Then we took a rental home. My dad went back to get it after they did the needed repairs. It broke down on his way from Bakersfield to our home in San Diego county. Ultimately they had to fix it and drive it down to us, and I think we still had one or two more significant break downs. And that is the story without Sequoia subplot of bears, drought and bubonic plague. I don't trust GM, neither do I trust Ford. I stick with Japanese cars now.
