Unrelated, I have a theory about CT being our largest small state. No matter what route I choose or where I enter the Nutmeg State, it's guaranteed to be a long drive. It always takes ages to get through, north-south or east-west. It's like a pocket dimension.
I know what you can do about those highways. It'll take 16 years and cost $7.4b or so, but...That's because all the major roads go through our major cities, which are modern marvels of Interstate inefficiency - giant intersections of raised highway built over the city below, with 17 damn exits within a half-mile stretch. And the rest of the main roads pre-date the Interstate system and are mostly only one in each direction.![]()

I just looked it up on Google Maps now. I don't remember any Krispy Kremes in Boston when I lived there, just Dunkins, a handful of Mr Donuts (South Station had one), and a number of indie places (Blackbird and Union Square Donuts are the two I remember).
