Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

On a summer road trip, I drove across Kansas for two weeks one Saturday.

Reminds me of the several years that I spent working in Ottawa, one winter.

Unrelated, I have a theory about CT being our largest small state. No matter what route I choose or where I enter the Nutmeg State, it's guaranteed to be a long drive. It always takes ages to get through, north-south or east-west. It's like a pocket dimension.

That's because all the major roads go through our major cities, which are modern marvels of Interstate inefficiency - giant intersections of raised highway built over the city below, with 17 damn exits within a half-mile stretch. And the rest of the main roads pre-date the Interstate system and are mostly only one in each direction.

Also, the reason that taking I-95 north-south through CT seems like a lot longer trip than it should be is because it's the only damn stretch of I-95 in the entire country that runs east-west instead of north-south, and CT is 1.5 times wider than it is tall.

I just looked it up on Google Maps now. I don't remember any Krispy Kremes in Boston when I lived there, just Dunkins, a handful of Mr Donuts (South Station had one), and a number of indie places (Blackbird and Union Square Donuts are the two I remember).

Yeah. I recall one Krispy Kreme place in Medford, a few years back. I think it closed when the novelty wore off, because we have tons of Dunkins with similar quality, and a lot of indie places that are tons better.
