Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

At this point, I think that applies to pretty much everything else.

Work, relationships, life. If its not fun and worth a laugh, then just gtfo.

I think that there is certainly a time and place for, you know, being super cereal.* Ahem.

But having a sense of humor isn't just about the good times. It is the best salve for the bad times as well.

On a related note, there is nothing more difficult than trying to have a conversation with a humorless person.

*I love the phrase, but that plot did NOT age well.

And another thread circles the drain. I just cannot with this. Headphones on, time to work.

The tenor of the conversation with @Scribe (and the conversations that seem to keep popping up) reminded me of a piece I wrote some time ago. checks date

Wow, three years!!!????!!!

I really enjoyed that one. Why? Because I was able to do a deep dive into a current controversy, and after examination, I found that what people were saying was "the issue," wasn't actually the problem, but the actual problem was far more interesting and weirder than what the controversy was about.

Of course, no one remembers the actual issue, but people still remember the brief internet outrage over the non-issue. Understanding (and explaining) what was really going on doesn't matter for the majority of people.

A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth can get its boots on.

Hey now! I have on good authority that they are also giving you a free U2 song that you can't delete with your DDB account as well.
To not drag the thread this came from off-course any further then it likely will end up anyhow..

That ^$#% album. I deleted it multiple times, yet like THAT thread that just won't die, it kept coming back. I called Apple Support, who helpfully walked me through deleting an album like I couldn't figure it out and yet 2 or 3 days later, it was back again. I called back and this time got a competent person on the phone who knew about the issue and knew they had to delete it on their end for it to stop showing back up.

I'm still waiting for it to show up any day now so we can figure out once and for all if it was a hit or a flop. Oh and the U2 album will probably show back up at some point too.
