Last vampires I played were land developers. They were NPCs. They got very staked.

Or some such! (Especially since- in some tellings- Cain was the first vampire…)
You’d barely have to retool scripts from Kung Fu or similar series (like The Incredible Hulk) to have something watchable.
Despite being a vampire, he somehow retained most of his “Pre-Embrace” mortal life. He genuinely wants to do more good in the world…but isn’t prepared to simply end his existence to that end.
So he travels the world, keeping a low profile. He moves on when the vampire hunters get too close or he’s offed enough bad people that the local authorities are getting suspicious.
(Theme song: “Freebat”…a reworded version of the Lynyrd Skynrd classic.
