Probably more. That’s what the ignore feature is for. If someone’s incessantly terrible, put ’em on ignore. You can still engage with the other posters.
Problem is when the ignored posters are so omnipresent that you can still know exactly when and what they are posting.

They are soooooo repetitive and predictable in their pouting (it's not even sensible arguments anymore) that it does not make any difference if they are blocked or not.

I’ve found it makes it much easier to avoid certain topics altogether.

Eh. I like having entire pages be blank when I'm scrolling through a thread. Gets me to the content I want to engage with faster.
