Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

But you only do that calculation once. In superhero games, you pretty much have to do recalculations.
In Space Opera you keep track of Stamina and Endurance, separately, and can become 'exhausted' if either drops below a set level. Then you have to figure that back into your actions. This includes combat, with all of the situational modifiers that involves.

Memories of why we don't play this anymore.
As with 4e D&D (or 1e, for that matter) I took what I liked, and threw out what I didn't. Stamina (or Endurance; whichever it was) ended up just being PSI points for me. I limited such things realistically. I used concealment for modifiers, but hit location was cover. Considering you could do called shots, it kept things fairly simple. Overall it made it playable enough that I got several years out of my two campaigns.

I have had a lot of fun with Space Opera, though eventually we lifted the good and left the rest behind. Similarly, I looked through the AD&D books, like DMG, startlingly badly organized, and I realized we likely had streamlined it.

Oh! I've seen that version of The Wizard of Oz too.
I did as well, primarily to ascertain that it was, indeed, a real thing. I was surprised at how much money, effort and actual skill was used to make that movie.

As I recall, the production team behind that film has done other, similarly big budget versions of mainstream movies.

Remember kids, if you're playing devil's advocate or "just asking questions" there's an almost 100% chance you're violating Wheaton's Law.
I’m not quite sure there’s never a reason bro play Devil’s Advocate (outside actual beatification and canonization investigations) they can’t be done as well or better by slightly shifted phrasing, but I’m sure it’s true for almost all cases, at least. Example: “Some people, like A and B, say X. What do you say as an alternative?”
