I still remember all my vanity plates in college (it was a state where they were super-inexpensive). The randomly generated plate I've had for 12 years now? No idea.

Funny thing is, I'm fascinated by fictitious books (i.e., books thought to exist that do not, as opposed to purely fictional books that were always meant to be understood not to be real). So, I'm loving this article!

So far, community reaction to the list has been largely negative online, but others have expressed sympathy for the publication. Freelance journalist Joshua J. Friedman noted on Bluesky that the reading list was "part of a ~60-page summer supplement" published on May 18, suggesting it might be "transparent filler" possibly created by "the lone freelancer apparently saddled with producing it."

The publication error comes two months after the Chicago Sun-Times lost 20 percent of its staff through a buyout program. In March, the newspaper's nonprofit owner, Chicago Public Media, announced that 30 Sun-Times employees—including 23 from the newsroom—had accepted buyout offers amid financial struggles.

So anyway, I think I'll pick up Cy_Borg.

I often wonder if its worth it to just let it all out and put it here as a form of release, even if it results in an earned and accepted warning point.

Unrelated to the ABOVE modern hellscape 'feature' yet still related to our modern hellscape.

I often wonder if its worth it to just let it all out and put it here as a form of release, even if it results in an earned and accepted warning point.

So far, I can resist and just go to the gym instead but boy some days...

My players wanted to alternate our relatively upbeat 5E campaign (Radiant Citadel, playing shieldbearers) with Shadowdark the over other proffered options*. I had really been hoping to play Mothership with a full on "capitalism is the real villain" vibe.

Maybe after a year of every other month dealing with an evil faux Roman general BBEG, they'll be ready to throw some Weyland-Yutani middle managers out of airlocks.

(* Pirate Borg, Mothership, Deathmatch Island, Eat the Reich. I am definitely feeling this moment in history at my RPG table.)
