Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Re: Tangerine Dream

I personally have a huge chunk of their discography, going back to the 1960s. It includes their regular recordings as well as their soundtracks. Among my faves are Soil Festivities and Underwater Sunlight.

Beyond that, Cristopher Franke was a member of TD from 1970-1987. Among his solo works are the soundtracks for Universal Soldier and Babylon 5.

(Is this the first Beaches reference on ENWorld? I feel like it might be.)

Y'know, people often talk a lot of crap about '80's synthesizer music, but when you do it right, for something other than just catchy pop songs...
There are even some great electronic interpretations of orchestral pieces. I was introduced to the music of Isao Tomita back in the late '70s.

What is interesting is that the whole "computer" aesthetic, from these Roland analog synths, the hand painted animation in Escape from New York or Tron; all created by artists like Tangerine Dream, or Syd Mead.

Also, Sorcerer is a great, highly underrated movie!
Those in the know, rate it highly, the sort of auteur type director isn't as popular today.
